IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji and IBC Social Responsibility Advisor Dr. Amila Naji participated on Tuesday September 27th 2016 in the opening ceremony of the International Conference on the (Media’s Role in Combating Terrorism and Extremism – Virtual Media; the New Weapon of Terrorism) organized by the Arab Authority for Satellite Broadcasting under auspices of the Arab League held at Amman – Royal Hotel.
Among the activities of IBC Cultural Program (Ibdaa), and in the presence of IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji and a number of IBC Board members; Mr. Nazar Awchi and Mr. Usama Al-Quraishi, IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi honored on Sunday September 4th 2016 at the Exit Club – Amman the prominent people’s artist and Iraqi director Jawad Al-Shakarchi along with a number of famous Iraqi actors such as Asia Kamal, Hana Muhammad and Kareem Muhsin with the Shield of Creativity and Appreciation Certificates for their remarkable efforts and great achievements in boosting Iraqi arts and representing Iraq in international circles. The honoring ceremony took place during the social celebration set up by the Iraqi Al-Sharqiya Channel to honor (Al-Amal Program) team, which is one of Al-Shariqiya Channel’s humanitarian programs. Chairman of the Independent Media Group Mr. Saad al-Bazzaz granted the famed Iraqi actor and director Jawad Al-Shakarchi and a number of prominent actors the Golden Creativity Medal for their role in giving hope to the vulnerable and needy who suffered severe humane situations as a result of the difficult circumstances experienced by Iraq. The ceremony was attended by a large number of Iraqi actors and singers, leading Iraqi football coaches, in addition to a large crowd of journalists, litterateurs, IBC CEO and staff.
The Iraqi Embassy in Jordan, in cooperation with the Iraqi Cultural Consulate and under auspices of IBC, organized on August 24th 2015 at Amman Grand Millennium Hotel the annual gala to honor top Iraqi students for the current academic year. During the ceremony the Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Dr. Jawad Hadi Abbas delivered a speech stressing the importance of supporting the top and innovator students and the youth in general. He spoke of the terrorist attack suffered by Iraq for a year now and thanked Jordan’s Monarch and Government for their care and support extended to the Iraqi students. In his speech, the Ambassador further thanked IBC for its continued support to the Iraqi Embassy and Iraqi community in Jordan. IBC Board member Mr. Mekki Al-Faiz delivered a welcome speech on behalf of IBC in which he congratulated the top students and their families and blessed their good efforts in representing their country, Iraq, overseas. He also stressed IBC keenness in participating in these activities and its continued efforts in supporting the top students and the Iraqi community in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The ceremony also included some cultural-entertainment programs, and certificates and honor medals were distributed to the top students by IBC Vice President and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji. The Iraqi Ambassador presented IBC with a certificate of appreciation for sponsoring this gala. The event was attended by the Iraqi Cultural Attaché Dr. Abbas Al-Husseini, the Iraqi Consul Mr. Abdul Sattar Al-Janabi, Health Attaché Dr. Sabah Rasoul, a crowd of the Iraqi community in Jordan, in addition to IBC member artist Yada Al-Obaidi, IBC CEO, staff and a number of journalists and satellite TV channels.
Based on IBC’s vision and aspiration to support scientific competencies and talents, and its belief in the need to encourage and motivate such competencies for further creativity, IBC, and for the fourth year respectively, took part in the Diamond Sponsorship of “Tamayouz Award” for Architectural Excellence for graduation projects of students in Architecture Departments in the Iraqi Universities for 2015. It is worth mentioning that “Tamayouz Award” was founded with unadulterated Iraqi efforts with the aim of supporting young Iraqi architects and introducing the exerted academic efforts to the world.
Upon an invitation extended by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Business & Professional Women Club Association, IBC Vice President and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji, IBC Advisor for Social Responsibility Dr. Amila Naji and IBC CEO participated in the International Conference for Women Empowerment within the Comprehensive and Sustainable Industrial Development in the Middle East and North Africa Region held on Tuesday July 20th 2016 at the Amman Meridian Hotel in cooperation with Jordan Ahli Bank.
IBC Vice President and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji accepted an invitation extended by the Jordanian Global Compact Network of the United Nations to attend a specialized symposium of Social Responsibility for Companies held on Sunday December 13th 2015 at the Headquarters of Amman Chamber of Commerce in Shmesani in cooperation with Amman Chamber of Commerce, the Netherlands Embassy in Amman and the Jordan – Europe Business Association (JEBA).
The Symposium, where elite experts in the field of Social Responsibility for Companies for Society Development participated, aimed at finding a platform for exchanging the best practices for the purpose of implementing this responsibility through integrating strategies and activities carried out by the companies with the principles Global Compact in the field of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
