Economic Event: Secretary General of the Arab Economic Unity Council Dr. Muhammad Rabie Visits IBC Headquarters

The Secretary General of the Arab Economic Unity Council Dr. Muhammad Rabie visited on Wednesday August 28th IBC Headquarters and was received by IBC Deputy Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji and IBC CEO.  Dr. Rabie was accompanied by the Secretary General of the Arab Federation for Fairs and Conferences Mr. Mahmood Al-Jarrah and the former Director General of Jordan Media Commission Dr. Amjad Al-Qadi.  During the meeting, Dr. Saad Naji reviewed IBC achievements and programs and its efforts to serve investors and businessmen to facilitate their business.  For his part Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Rabie lauded IBC achievements on the economic level and its role to serve the business community.

The Ambassador also spoke about his vision on Arab economic integration, emphasizing the role of the private sector in supporting the economies of other countries, calling for cooperation with Arab investors abroad, or those of Arab origins, to link them with the economies of Arab countries and attract their investments to profitable projects that contribute to the development of Arab economy.  At the end of the meeting the two sides exchanges thanks on organizing this meeting.

 

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites. Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council was well-founded and blessed by the Government of Jordan. Accordingly, the approval of the competent Jordanian authorities was commended for launching the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan.
