Australian-Arab Chamber
Referring to the joint cooperation agreement between the Iraqi Business Council and the Australian-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry and for the purposes of activating and achieving the objectives of this agreement, the members of the Iraqi Business Council met with the visiting delegation of the Australian-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which consists of each of Mr. Raymond Najjar, a member of the National Board of Directors The Australian-Arab Chamber of Commerce and the head of the (Austrilia Business Connect) organization and Mrs. Suzette Lamshid, the managing director of the organization, with a number of representatives of Australian companies, on Monday, 09/03/2015 at noon at the headquarters of the Iraqi Business Council / 3rd floor.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Saad Naji welcomed the visiting delegation and the Director General of the Council provided an overview of the achievements and activities of the Iraqi Business Council.
The members of the Council provided an overview of their companies, their specializations and the opportunities available in Iraq, and Mrs. Suzette Lamchid also gave a presentation on Australian companies to the organization (Austrilia Business Connect) Its specializations and the most important areas of cooperation with these companies operating in a number of sectors, including: agriculture, food industries, engineering services, mining, oil and gas, water technology, energy and alternative energy technology. During the meeting, a group of Australian companies’ products were presented.
The Vice President and Secretary of the Board Mr. Saad Naji attended on the side of the Council, and a number of members of the administrative body, namely Mr. Makki Al-Fazi, Mr. Fakhry, Mrs. Wasan Al-Khafaji, and a number of members of the General Assembly, namely Mr. Raed Al-Bayati, Mr. Raed Allawi, and the Director General of the Council.











Iraqi Business Council
It is worth mentioning that the idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council was launched based on the common desire that was generated by a number of elites, who are Iraqi investors and businessmen present in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, where they agreed on the importance of forming an economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them, in a way that contributes to combining and unifying their efforts, in order to maximize Iraqi investment in Jordan, as well as effective contribution to construction and reconstruction in Iraq.
The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council found a good response, and was blessed by the government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, so the approval of the competent Jordanian authorities was obtained, thankfully.
The task of establishing it was undertaken by an elite group of Iraqi businessmen known for their efficiency and competence. Since the launch of the council in late 2006, the members have worked to make efforts that support Iraqi investments in Jordan. As well as coordination and cooperation with official bodies, in order to find solutions and proposals to overcome the obstacles and impediments facing investors
