Youth Committee (Future Leaders – Entrepreneurship Business Incubator) of IBC Holds a Training Course entitled (Citizenship Embracing Cultural Diversity)

Among the activities of the Youth Committee (Future Leaders – Entrepreneurship Business Incubators), IBC, and n cooperation with Shabab 21 Foundation for Community Development, held on Wednesday and Thursday November 14th – 15th 2018 on IBC Hall / 3rd floor a two-day training course entitled (Citizenship Embracing Cultural Diversity).

A group of Iraqi youth members of IBC – Jordan Youth Committee (Future Leaders) participated in the training course which included training on the concept of citizenship and acceptance of others.

Trainer Sarah Al-Khashab supervised the training course.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites. Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council was well-founded and blessed by the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Accordingly, the approval of the competent Jordanian authorities was commended for launching the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan.

The one who carried out the mission of founding is an elite of Iraqi businessmen of recognized competence and abilities. and since the Council’s inception in late 2006, members have worked towards efforts to support Iraqi investments in Jordan. as well as coordination and cooperation with official entities, to find solutions and proposals to overcome obstacles and constraints facing investors s economic, investment and trade cooperation between Jordan and Iraq.

Opening of the 3rd Personal Exhibition of Iraqi Calligrapher Adil Al-Hadi On IBC Hall

Among the activities of IBC Cultural Program (Ibdaa), and under patronage of the Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan Dr. Ziyad Frezer and Zain Telecommunication Company , the third personal exhibition for Arabic Calligraphy by Iraqi Calligrapher Adil Al-Hadi was opened on Saturday August 4th, 2018 on IBC Hall / 1st floor.

During the opening ceremony, the Iraqi Calligrapher Adil Al-Hadi reviewed types of calligraphy and techniques he used in the exhibited paintings during his tour with Dr. Ziyad Frezer, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji and IBC Board member Mr. Turkey Al-Qaisi.

Mr. Al-Hadi elaborated on his exhibition, the third exhibition for Arabic Calligraphy on IBC Hall, where he presented an effort of one and a half year to execute a collection of paintings that reflect different types and forms of magnificent Arabic Calligraphy and its various schools represented by different types of calligraphy such as Al-Thulth, Al-Thulth Al-Jali, Al-Naskh, Al-Diwani, Al-Jali Diwani and Al-Kufi Calligraphy that include Al-Muwaraq, Al-Murabaa, Al-Mathfour, Al-Taleeq, Al-Ijaza, Al-Nesabouri, etc. He used colors as important elements in formation of the painting and applied adornment such as Al-Suleimi and Nabati to beautify the painting. He also used acrylic colors and poster to execute the paintings.

As for the selected texts, most of them were chosen from the Holy Quran and Hadith, in addition to the usage of poetry with its various purposes such as; praise and love poetry in executing the exhibited paintings.

On IBC side, the ceremony was attended by a large number of IBC Cultural Committee, a crowd of academics and journalists, IBC guests from the Iraqi community in Jordan, in addition to satellite TV channels, IBC CEO and staff.

Opening of the 2nd Personal Exhibition of Iraqi Artist Huda Asaad

Among the activities of IBC Cultural Program (Ibdaa) and under Patronage of President of the Jordanian Artists Association Artist Hussein Nashwan and Zain Telecommunication Company, the second personal exhibition of Iraqi Artist Huda Asaad titled “Formative Marks” was opened on Saturday July 21st 2018 on IBC Hall – 1st floor.

During the opening ceremony and in her tour with President of the Jordanian Artists Association Mr. Nashwan, IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi, Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji, and Chairman Deputy Mr. Nazar Awchi, the Iraqi Artist Ms. Asaad elaborated on her exhibition which included thirty (30) paintings carried out with a certain outstanding raw materials techniques such as pastes, glues and acrylic colors on canvas creating spaces, crescent mass, aesthetic dimensions, symbols, designations and formative marks.

The Artist’s works were characterized by geometric shapes, multi-directional signs to decipher the symbolic codes contained in the ancestors’ works using her energy and experience in painting the diversity of  movement on the surface of the painting using the knife technique to create a feeling and touch that sometimes gives the impression of Collage posters.On IBC side, the ceremony was attended by a large number of IBC Cultural Committee members, a crowd of academics, media and IBC guests of the Iraqi community in Jordan, in addition to satellite TV channels, IBC CEO and staff.

The Iraqi Business Council Undertakes Building of a Children’s Mobile Green Library

The Iraqi Business Council undertook a special project of building of a mobile green library for the Iraqi refugee children’ school at Marka – Jordan.

Architect Nermine Marji designed the library, the idea of which was based on the usage of recycled materials such as newsprints paper, carton paper and empty plastic water bottles which the children built themselves.

IBC provided the library with a large number of children stories, books and educational magazines that would contribute to scientific enrichment, development of scientific skills and building of language inventory for the children.

Completion of Distribution of Ramadan Charity Packages To Vulnerable Families in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Originating from IBC social responsibility and as part of its Social Aid Program, Ramadan Charity Packages have been distributed on several stages since the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan for the year 2018 on vulnerable families in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Seven hundred fifty families, whose members ranging between 3-7 persons, registered at the United Nations Higher Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) living in the areas of Al-Jofa Mount, Northern Hashimi and Marka benefited from this campaign.

Each package included only food items.  IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. SaadNaji, IBC members; Mr. Atheer Al-Qadi, Mustaf Al-Sheikh, IBC CEO and staff took part in the distribution campaign.

IBC & Grand Millennium Amman Hotel Host A Charity Iftar Banquet for Orphans

IBC, the Grand Millennium Amman Hotel and Oden Media hosted on Thursday June 7th 2018 a charity iftar under patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess RajwaBint Ali attended by HRH Wijdan Al-Hashimi and several Charity Societies including Princess Taghreed Foundation for Development & Training (Dar Al-Nahda), Al-Hussein Social Foundation and Sponsors of IBC Orphan Care program.

The event included distribution of Eid presents on the participating children presented by the sponsors of the event and Zain Telecommunications, in addition to entertainment programs that the children enjoyed.

Hosting this charity banquet is part of IBC, Grand Millennium Amman Hotel and Oden Media corporal social responsibility during the holy month of Ramadan within the context of establishing and strengthening constructive values and an agenda reflecting the spirit of solidarity and assistance that both seek to promote.

On IBC side, the event was attended by IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi, Vice Chairman Mr. SaadNaji , a number of IBC Board members and their families; Mr. Khalil Al-Bunniya, Dr. Usama Al-Quraishi, Mr. Mumtaz Al-Tai and IBC member Dr. Muhammad Al-Baldawi, in addition to IBC CEO, a number of journalists and TV satellite channels.

The Future Leaders Committee (IBC Entrepreneurs Business Incubator) Held Dialogue Session entitled “The Reality of Entrepreneurship in Iraq”

The Future Leaders Committee (IBC Entrepreneurs business incubator), in cooperation with Shabab 21 Foundation for Community Development held on Tuesday May 8th 2018 on IBC Hall/1st floor a dialogue session entitled “The Reality of Entrepreneurship in Iraq”.

The session aimed at enhancing young people’s capabilities and developing their spirit of leadership, in which a work team of Future Leaders Committee and Shabab 21 Foundation for Community Development participated.

During the session, a number of young entrepreneurs; Mr. Muhammad Al-Homsi founder / partner and of Fanus firm and innovative guide in business community innovation of Tech Tribes Foundation, and Mr. Qusai Abu Shanab / founder, partner and CEO of Siddiq firm and recipient of “Badir Award” for social entrepreneurs and “Shabab for Change Award”, who is also a specialist in products development to effect community impact.

During the session, the guests discussed the essence of their experiences in civil and entrepreneurial work, the difficulties that encountered them and how they managed to overcome to establish their businesses and firms.

The topics of environment and leadership in Iraq were also discussed during the session.

The guests highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in such environments, as it is a fertile environment for such works, as well as the actual need for such works, which encourage many entrepreneurs to launch their ideas and projects that serve the society and provide them with income, leading at the end to sustainable development.

The session opened the door for further discussions between the participants and entrepreneurs on the concerns and difficulties that encounter the young entrepreneurs and prevent them from establishing their private projects.

The participants reviewed a number of success stories of Iraqi youths in Jordan, who were able through their endeavors and efforts to overcome many obstacles and difficulties

.

IBC Hosts the Signing Ceremony of “The History of Iraqi Silver (Its Skilled Manufacturers & Their Products)”

Among the activities of IBC Cultural Program (Ibdaa) and under auspices of the Jordanian Minster of Culture Mr. Nabeeh Shiqum, IBC hosted on Saturday April 21st, 2018 at Amman Grand Millennium Hotel the signing ceremony of “The History of Iraqi Silver (Its Manufacturers and Their Products)” by IBC member and antiquities expert Engineer Muhammad Saleh Al-Baghdadi.

The event included an exhibition of a collection of unique pieces of Iraqi silver illustrated in the book.

At the beginning of the ceremony the author, Engineer Muhammad Al-Baghdadi, spoke about his book that was published in Arabic and English, which documented a rare collection of silver and its manufacturers.

The Jordanian Minister of Culture, Mr. Nabeeh Shiqum, lauded the exquisite culture of Mesopotamia which was known of its popular industries, and thanked the author for documenting the history of silver industry in Iraq which was a title of ancient civilizations.

Then Dr. Ehsan Fethi presented an overview on the important contents of the book, which documented the history of silver in Iraq systematically and scientifically among all Iraqi communities, and was the product of 18 years of research and documentation by the author.

The ceremony was attended by the Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Mrs. Safiya Al-Siheil, the Italian Ambassador to Jordan Mr. Giovanni Brawzi Brauzzi and his wife, and a large number of members of the Iraqi community in Jordan, Iraqi and Jordanian academic, artistic and cultural elite.

IBC Honors Major Two Prominent Iraqi Singers Yaas Khidir & Hameed Mansour

Among the activities of IBC cultural Program (Ibdaa), IBC received on Friday March 30th, 2018 at Amman Grand Millennium Hotel two major prominent Iraqi singers Yaas Khidir and Hameed Mansour in a concert of honor.

During the ceremony, IBC Chairman and IBC Board members honored the two prominent Iraqi singers Yaas Khidir nicknamed “The Voice of Earth” and Hameed Mansour nicknamed “Iraq’s Nightingale” with IBC’s “Creative Work Honor” as a tribute to their artistic achievements in enriching the genuine Iraqi culture in the presence of a large crowd of the Iraqi community in Jordan, artistic and cultural figures, as well as journalists.

Singer Hameed Mansour sang a number of his most popular songs, while singer Yaas Khidir concluded the memorable evening with some of his most beautiful songs which received the audience’s admiration.

On behalf of the Iraqi Embassy in Jordan, the concert was attended by the Iraqi Consul Mr. Udai Asaad, and a number of the Iraqi Embassy’s diplomatic mission.

As on IBC side, the presence were IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji, IBC Vice Chairman Nazar Awchi and IBC Board members; Mr. Khalil Al-Bunnia and Dr. Usama Al-Quraishi,  in addition to a large number of IBC members and their families.

Opening of the 9th Personal Exhibition Of Iraqi Artist Daham Badr

Among the activities of IBC Cultural Program (Ibdaa), and under the patronage of artist Hussein Nashwan, Head of the Jordanian Artists Federation and Zain Telecommunication Company, IBC hosted on Saturday March 24th, 2018 on IBC Hall the opening of the 9th personal exhibition of Iraqi artist Daham Badr entitled “Iraqi Enlightenments”.

During the ceremony, artist Daham Badr toured the exhibition with the Head of the Jordanian Artists Federation artist Hussein Nashwan, IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji and a number of IBC Board members; Dr. Usama Al-Quraishi and Mr. Turkey Al-Qaisi and a crowd of artists and guests to learn about the displayed paintings.

The exhibition included a number of works of art that are part of the distinct art representing the importance of the Iraqi graphic art in the Arab region to provide a flow of vitality and aesthetic enjoyment that attracted a wide audience of connoisseurs of different categories, as the artist’s methods varied and were related to the contemporary heritage and logic.

The opening ceremony witnessed presence of a large number of IBC members, members of the Iraqi community in Jordan, artists, media, satellite TV channels, IBC CEO and staff.
