IBC Members Meet With Mrs. Nancy Bakeer & the Accompanying Investors Delegation from the United States of America

On Wednesday 26/2/2014 a number of IBC members met with the Arab League General Commissioner and the former Minister of Culture and Public Sector Development Mrs. Nancy Bakeer and the visiting delegation of investors from the United States of America comprising of the CEO of Christian Taylor Real Estate Investment Company Mr. Kirk Ecolytz and the Jordanian Businessman Mr. Hisham Mbeidhen.

At the beginning of the meeting IBC Vice Chairman Mr. Turkey Qaisi welcomed the visiting guests and presented a summary on IBC activities and the interest of Iraqi investors to cooperate with Arab and foreign investors to establish joint projects in Iraq.

On his part, Mr. Ecolytz elaborated on a number of investment projects in a number of American States and the programs that ensure granting investors a permanent residency permits in America followed by obtainment of the American Citizenship. IBC Board member Mr. Usama Qaisi discussed with the visiting delegation the projects in question and the interest of Iraqi investors in the American market.

Towards the end of the meeting, Mrs. Nancy Bakeer thanked IBC members for organizing the meeting, stressing the importance of IBC role in the field of economy and the promotion of investment.

The meeting was attended by IBC Vice Chairman and Board member Mr. Turkey Qaisi and IBC members; Mr. Engineer Mekki Faiz, Dr. Fakhri Rishan, Mr. Usama Quraishi, Mr. Muhammad Jawad Jubouri, Mrs. Wasan Khafaji, member of the General Assembly Mr. Hassan Dahan and IBC CEO.

Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding Between IBC & Dr. Talal Abu Ghazala Group Companies

 A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was concluded on Wednesday 26/2/2014 between IBC and Talal Abu Ghazala Group Companies.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Talal Abu Ghazala delivered a speech welcoming IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Sadi and the accompanying delegation including IBC members.

In his speech, he presented a summary on Talal Abu Ghazala Group Companies and the services rendered by the Group.

On his part, IBC Chairman Dr. Sadi delivered a speech summarizing IBC activities, the economic conditions prevailing in Iraq and the main fields of cooperation in all sectors.

He also stated that the Iraqi Public Sector requires extensive training in various administrative areas particularly in Basra Province.

On his part Dr. Abu Ghazala expressed his interest to cooperate with IBC in a number of issues such as opening of an office in Basra, which would be the office No. (81) for the Group worldwide, delegating Mr. Loay Abu Usba to coordinate with Mrs. Abeer Naib concerning issues relating to the MOU in order to implement the activities contained in the Clauses, stressing also that every Clause stated therein must have a work plan to guarantee effective execution.

He also stressed cooperation with IBC in the field of tenders whereas Talal Abu Ghazala Company shall be in charge of this cooperation, preparing a study covering the possibility of establishing a University in Basra Province, the prospect of opening specialized training centers designated for teaching information technology skills and English and Chinese languages.

The MOU also states that services render by the Visa Centre are expanded to meet the requirements of Iraqis who wish to travel to China, and acknowledgement of the Certified Professional Arab Accountant Certificate in the rest of Iraqi Provinces as already adopted in Kurdistan, cognitive connectivity, investigate the possibility of opening specialized knowledge stations (Talal Abu Ghazala Complex) same as in Jordan, Egypt and Palestine.

It is worth mentioning that the signing of this MOU took place following the meeting held between IBC Vice President, IBC Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji, IBC Board member Dr. Fakhri Rishan and IBC CEO with Dr. Talal Abu Ghazala and Mr. Loay Abu Usba at Talal Abu Ghazala Forum.

On IBC side, the meeting was attended by IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Sadi, a number of IBC Board members; Mr. Mekki Faiz, Mr. Usama Quraishi, Dr. Fakhri Rishan, Mr. Muhammad Jawad Jubouri and Mrs. Wasan Khafaji, and IBC members Mr. Haleem Hadithi and IBC CEO.

On Talal Abu Ghazala Group Companies side, the meeting was attended by Dr. Talal Abu Ghazala, a number of Senior Officials in the Group Companies, in addition to media.

IBC Members Meet with the Regional ManagerOf DAMAC Real Estate Investment Company & the Accompanying Delegation

A meeting was held on Wednesday 19/2/2014 in IBC Headquarters between IBC members and the Regional Manager of DAMAC Real Estate Investment Company Mr. Ahmed Tayeb and the accompanying delegation.

At the beginning of the meeting IBC Vice Chairman Mr. Ahmed Shabender welcomed the guests and presented a summary on IBC activities and the achievements realized by IBC on the economic, cultural and humanitarian levels.  He also tackled issues relating to the main investment projects in Iraq especially in the Tourism Sector.

On his part, Mr. Ahmed Tayeb expressed the interest of DAMAC Company to present IBC members with special offers to invest in their projects existing in the United Arab Emirates which were implemented in association with the giant Investment Company Paramount.

The projects include a number of Towers for high standard fully furnished apartments enjoying exceptional services and luxury, with competitive prices and installments method of payment.

He further expressed the Company’s desire to enter the Iraqi markets especially in Kurdistan Region and Basra Province, stressing the Company’s readiness to cooperate with the companies owned by IBC members to implement future projects in Iraq.

On IBC side, the Vice Chariman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji expressed IBC interest to find a cooperation mechanism with DAMAC Real Estate Investment Company, being a major and significant Company in this field.

During the meeting, the members discussed the project specifications and the payment mechanisms proposed by DAMAC Company.

The meeting was attended by IBC Vice Chairman and President of the Cultural Committee Mr. Turkey Qaisi, IBC Board member and President of the Economic Committee Dr. Fakhri Rishan, Board member and President of the External Relational Committee Mr. Usama Quraishi, and IBC members; Mr. Sadiq Kubaisi, Mr. Ahmed Saedi and IBC CEO, and on DAMAC’s side, the meeting was attended by Mr. Zaid Abdul Khaliq and Miss Suha Ubaidi.
