The meeting of the members of the Council with the delegation of Tunisian companies visiting Jordan

IBC members met on Thursday November 29th, 2018 on IBC Hall / first floor with members of the visiting Tunisian companies’ delegation in the presence of the Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan Mr. Khalid Al-Suhaili and the Commercial Attaché Mr. Atif Al-Gharyani.

At the beginning of the meeting, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji welcomed the commercial delegation visiting Jordan,  followed by a short review by IBC CEO on IBC, its activities and achievements in various fields especially the economic field.

On his part, the Tunisian Ambassador lauded the economic relationships existing between the Iraqi and Tunisian private sectors, stressing the Tunisian Embassy’s readiness to provide all facilities to IBC members especially the issue of entry visas.

IBC Board member Mr. Khalil Al-Bunniya spoke of the main advantages of investment in Tunisia and the fine quality of Tunisian products.

He also spoke about some obstacles that face investors and businessmen who are desirous to work in Tunisian markets.

Representatives of the Tunisian companies gave a short review on their companies and products,  expressing their desire to cooperate with the Iraqi private sector,  followed by discussing a number of queries raised by the attendees on means of cooperation with the Tunisian companies.

On the sidelines of the meeting, an exhibition for Tunisian products produced by the visiting Tunisian companies was held.

The meeting was attended by IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji, IBC Board members; Mr. Khalil Al-Bunniya and Mr. Mumtaz Al-Taie, in addition to a large number of IBC members, guests, businessmen, IBC CEO and staff.

Opening of Personal Exhibition of Iraqi Sculptor Yahya Abdul Qahhar

Among the activities of IBC Cultural Program (Ibdaa), the personal exhibition of Iraqi Sculptor Yaha Abdul Qahhar titled “Passion of the Bodies” was opened on Saturday November 24th 2018 on IBC Hall / 1st floor.

During the opening ceremony, the Iraqi Sculptor Yahya Abdul Qahhar elaborate on his exhibited works during his tour with IBC Chairman Dr. Majid Saedi, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji, IBC Cultural Committee members, artists and guests.

In his exhibition, the Sculptor tackled the subject of the human being; man and woman and the relationship between them within the general human content emphasizing their role in all human societies.

The exhibition included twenty four works of art executed on wood with iron added to enhance the aesthetic vision, using colors to decorate some, which graced his works with artistic vision and aesthetic dimensions.

The ceremony was attended by IBC Cultural Committee members, Youth Committee members (Future Leaders), a large number of artists, journalists, businessmen, IBC guests of the Iraqi community in Jordan, in addition to satellite TV channels, IBC CEO and staff.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites. Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council was well-founded and blessed by the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Accordingly, the approval of the competent Jordanian authorities was commended for launching the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan.

Youth Committee (Future Leaders – Entrepreneurship Business Incubator) of IBC Holds a Training Course entitled (Citizenship Embracing Cultural Diversity)

Among the activities of the Youth Committee (Future Leaders – Entrepreneurship Business Incubators), IBC, and n cooperation with Shabab 21 Foundation for Community Development, held on Wednesday and Thursday November 14th – 15th 2018 on IBC Hall / 3rd floor a two-day training course entitled (Citizenship Embracing Cultural Diversity).

A group of Iraqi youth members of IBC – Jordan Youth Committee (Future Leaders) participated in the training course which included training on the concept of citizenship and acceptance of others.

Trainer Sarah Al-Khashab supervised the training course.

The idea of establishing the Iraqi Business Council is based on the common desire generated by a number of elites. Those who are Iraqi investors and businessmen on the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan unanimous in the importance of creating economic reference for them, as well as for those who wish to join them in order to maximize Iraq’s investment in Jordan, as well as to contribute actively to Iraq’s construction and reconstruction.
