IBC Holds A Significant Meeting with the Official Delegation of Egypt Investment Commission & Free Zones
IBC held on Monday March 21st 2016 at IBC Headquarters an important meeting with the visiting official delegation of Egypt Investment Committee and Free Zones including the Director General for Middle East Territory Promotion in Egypt Promotion Commission & Free Zones Mr. Munir Abdul Fattah Juma and the Egyptian Middle East Daily journalist Iman Juma.
The delegation was accompanied by the Egyptian Embassy Commercial Commissioner Mr. Muhammad Abdulla al-Wazeer and the Head of Rotographia Industrial Company Mr. Riyadh Al-Kilani.
At the beginning of the meeting, IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary-General Mr. Saad Naji welcomed the visiting delegation and IBC CEO provided a brief presentation on IBC activities in the economic, cultural and humanitarian fields followed by a review by the participating members on the activities of their companies and the main projects being implemented currently.
On his part, Mr. Munir Juma affirmed the interest of the Egyptian Government to attract Iraqi investments to Egypt.
During the meeting Mr. Juma presented the success story of a Jordanian packaging company operating in Egypt which was represented by Mr. Riyah Al-Kilani. Mr. Juma also reviewed the investment environment in Egypt, the economic indications and policies, targeted growth rates and the main investment sectors that have priority, the investment systems, investment chart and the key investment projects.
He also spoke of the economic transformation in Egypt from a primitive economy to a technological knowledge-based economy sought by the Egyptian Government.
During the meeting, IBC was informed by the Commercial Commissioner at the Egyptian Embassy Mr. Abdullah Al-Wazeer that he would provide IBC with a copy of the Investment Code No. (17) that covers a number of sectors, in addition to the executive schedule, available incentives, procedures of companies establishment and the investor’s guide.
At the end of the meeting both sides exchanged thanks and appreciation on the organization of the meeting.
Also, Mr. Saad Naji discussed during the meeting means of joint cooperation and the mechanism of facilitating the procedures pertaining to granting entry visas to Iraqi investors to visit Egypt to acquaint themselves with the key projects and the available investment opportunities in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
On IBC side, the meeting was attended by IBC Vice Chairman and Secretary-General Mr. Saad Naji and IBC members; Mr. Hassan Al-Dahhan, Mr. Ahmed Al-Amili, Mr. Aqeel Hadi and a number of guests including the British GCS Company Infrastructure and Projects Management Consultant Mr. Makram Munkith Al-Jebachi, in addition to IBC CEO.
