The Iraqi Business Council held yesterday Tuesday September 16th, 2025, at IBC offices a meeting with H.E the new Iraqi Commercial Attaché in Jordan, Mr. Mustafa Al-Allam. The meeting was attended by the Council’s Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General, Dr. Saad Naji, and a number of IBC members including Engineer Turkey Al-Qaisi, Mr. Muhammad Shanshal, in addition to IBC Director General and the Attaché’s Assistant, Mr. Muthanna Jabbar.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Saad Naji welcomed H.E the Commercial Attaché and the accompanying delegation and reviewed the Council’s role in facilitating the investors’ activities and enhancing the Council’s leading position as to attracting investments to Iraq, stressing the importance of cooperation between the Council and the Commercial Attaché to overcome obstacles encountering businessmen both in Jordan or through the Iraqi Commercial Attachés abroad and facilitate the issuance of visas for interested Jordanian companies who wish to operate in Iraq.
For his part, Mr. Mustafa Al-Allam lauded the prominent role of the Iraqi Business Council in encouraging companies to invest in Iraq, highlighting efforts exerted to support the national economy. He also invited the Council members to visit the Iraqi Trade Centre established recently in Amman, stressing that this Centre will provide distinguished platform for showcasing and promoting the Iraqi industries products and urged Iraqi companies and manufacturers to benefit from this initiative to open new markets and encourage the presence of national products.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged thanks on organizing this meeting, stressing the importance of continued communication and joint cooperation.
