Participation of IBC Board Members in The Second Jordan Economic Forum on Wednesday September 4th, 2019 at the Ishtar Kempinski Hotel – Dead Sea

At the invitation extended by HE President of the Jordanian House of Representatives Dr. Atif Tarawneh, IBC Vice President and Secretary General Mr. Saad Naji, IBC Board Member Dr. Edward Fatouhi and the Director General of the Second Jordanian Economic Forum participated in the Forum opened by the Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Omar Razzaz representative of His Majesty King Abdullah II, which was held on Wednesday September 4th, 2019 at the Ishtar Kempinski Hotel – Dead Sea organized by the Parliamentary Economy & Investment Committee.  During the opening of the Forum, the Jordanian Prime Minister talked about the main challenges facing the Jordanian Government relating to stimulating investment, also referring to the high energy costs that haunt the investor and the unstable legislative environment, and stressed the objectives of this Forum such as opening a dialogue between members of the Parliament, the Government and representative of the private sector in order to reach the required economy simulating policies.  The Forum sessions included a growth matrix, economic reform program, economic growth and the agenda of 2030 for sustainable development and its goals, restoring growth, creation of job opportunities – facilitate business, stimulate growth and creation of job opportunities – cost of doing business.  The Forum was attended by a number of Ministers, members of the House of Representatives, dignitaries, officials, Ambassadors accredited to Jordan and representatives of the Jordanian private sector.
