The Iraqi Business Council opened on Wednesday August 26th 2026 an exhibition showcasing Iraqi and oriental heritage antiques and rarities by antiques and oriental collectibles expert engineer Muhammad Al-Baghdadi. The exhibition was held on “Ibdaa” Cultural Centre Hall as part of IBC’s “Ibdaa” Cultural Program.
The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Jordan, Mr. Omar Al-Barazanji, Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Jordan, Ms. Tselane Mokuena, and His Excellency the Councillor and Head of the Consular Section at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Jordan, Mr. Mehdi Abdolayiev.
On behalf of the Council, the event was attended by IBC Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General and Head of “Ibdaa” Cultural Program, Dr. Saad Naji, IBC member Mrs. Amila Naji, and IBC Director General, as well as an elite cultural, academic and artistic figures, and representatives of satellite television channels and various media outlets.
The exhibition featured a distinguished and treasured collection of antiques, rarities and heritage artifacts including a variety of rare beads, collectibles and silver handcrafts and oriental antiques, which reflected richness of the Iraqi and oriental culture and artistic heritage and highlighted the historical, artistic and aesthetic value of these treasured objects.
The guests toured the exhibition and viewed the displayed artifacts and collectibles, appreciating their historical and artistic values which reflected the various aspects of Iraqi and oriental heritage. They stressed the importance of holding such events to preserve the cultural heritage, introducing it to the public, and showcasing it to those interested in arts and heritage.
Since its launch, “Ibdaa” Cultural Program continues to organize and host exhibitions, events and activities that contribute to supporting creative individuals and those interested in heritage and arts, highlighting Iraq’s cultural and civilizational diversity in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
