Opening of Artist Manhal Al-Dabbagh’s Exhibition On IBC’s “Ibdaa” Cultural Centre Hall

As part of the activities of the Iraqi Business Council Program “Ibdaa”, an exhibition of the renowned Iraqi Artist Manhal Al-Dabbagh was opened on Monday July 13th 2026 on IBC hall.

The opening ceremony witnessed the attendance of a distinguished audience of cultural, academic and artistic figures, including visual artists, art critics and individuals interested in cultural affairs.  The event was also attended by media figures, representatives of satellite television channels and various news outlets, who kept up with the event and highlighted the artist’s experience, his creative journey and artistic achievements.

The inauguration was also attended by IBC Deputy Chairman & Secretary-General, Dr. Saad Naji, IBC Board member, Mrs. Tamara Al-Daghestani, IBC member, Mr. Muhammad Shanshal and IBC Director General.

The guests toured the exhibition and viewed a collection of artworks that reflected artist Manhal Al-Dabbagh’s long and distinguished artistic career.  His works are characterized by a rich visual and expressive techniques that combine painting and graphic art while exploring diverse humanistic and cultural themes.

The exhibited artworks received considerable appreciation and interaction from artists, academics, art critics and media professionals for embodying Mr. Al-Dabbagh’s artistic visions and expressive semantics that reflect the artist’s extensive experience and evolution of his creative practice over several decades.

Artist Manhal Al-Dabbagh was born in Mosul in 1955.  He is one of Iraq’s leading visual artists with a distinguished artistic career.  He held seven solo exhibitions in Baghdad, Mosul, Istanbul, Toronto and Erbil and participated in approximately 150 exhibitions in Iraq and abroad.  He is also the author of a book on artist Najeeb Younis biography and his artworks.
