Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Logistics Association Discusses Avenues of Joint Cooperation with IBC Deputy Chairman & Secretary-General

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Logistics Association, Mr. Nizar Saleh, discussed with IBC Deputy Chairman & Secretary-General, Dr. Saad Naji, avenues of cooperation, during a meeting that took place on Monday April 13th 2026 at the Association’s headquarters / Shmesani, attended by a number of the Association’s members and IBC Director General.

During the meeting, Dr. Saad Naji extended his congratulations on the election of the Association’s new Administrative Board, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two sides in a way that serves mutual economic interests. 

The discussion also covered the Association’s work program, particularly in relation to the file of internal supply chains and logistic connection between Iraq and Jordan, as well as the strategic use of the Port of Aqaba as a key trade hub.

Dr. Naji highlighted the importance of Iraqi boarder crossings as a critical element in ensuring success of utilizing the Port of Aqaba.  He also pointed out several strategic files, including the Iraqi – Jordanian Oil Pipeline Project, and stressed the importance the Arab Common Market.  Additionally, a proposal was presented to organize a joint Iraqi – Jordanian workshop to address challenges related to transportation between Iraq and Jordan.

For his part, the Chairman of Jordan Logistics Association, Mr. Nizar Saleh, reviewed the efforts exerted by the Association, reaffirming its full readiness to cooperate with IBC in developing joint activities and events that support trade movement between the two countries.

Moreover, the Association’s Assistant Executive Director, Mr. Samer Al-Tal, delivered a brief presentation on the Association’s activities and programs in the field of specialized professional training.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to work on establishing a framework for cooperation between the Iraqi Business Council and the Jordan Logistics Association, aiming to enhance economic integration opportunities and support mutual interests.  Mr. Saleh also expressed the Association’s desire to participate in the Trade Agencies and Franchise Exhibition 2026, which is organized by Bana Institution for Conferences and Exhibitions, in cooperation with the Iraqi Business Council.  The event is scheduled to take place on June 9th – 10th 2026, at the Amman International Exhibition Centre – Airport Road, Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
